James Foster

James joined CCK Lawyers in 2013, following many years' experience in general commercial law firms. After gaining valuable international exposure while living and working in Europe, he returned to Australia to serve as in-house counsel for a major corporate defence organisation. In late 2021, James re-joined CCK Lawyers as a key member of the disputes team.

Recognised for his tenacity in pursuing successful commercial outcomes, James leverages a broad legal background to offer targeted, strategic advice. His approach to litigation is marked by efficiency, practicality, and a sharp commercial insight, allowing him to resolve disputes with a clear focus on client goals.

James has played a critical role in advising on significant commercial disputes across a variety of sectors, including government and defence, construction and engineering, insolvency, pastoral matters, and real property.
